Terms of Use
Last updated October 7, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Momento'd mobile app and related services ("Momento'd", "we", "us"), operated by Alan Zhang. By creating an account or using Momento'd, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Momento'd has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Content that breaks the Community Guidelines below is removed, and accounts that post it or abuse other people may be suspended or permanently banned, without notice.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live.
- Give accurate information, and keep your password secure. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone else or pick a username meant to mislead.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it removes your profile, trips and photos.
2. Community Guidelines
Momento'd is for planning and sharing trips. Anything you post (trips, titles, highlights, photos, place names, your profile name and photo) must not include, promote or link to:
- Harassment, bullying or threats aimed at anyone, including other users, or content that encourages others to do so.
- Hate speech: attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability or serious illness.
- Nudity, pornography or sexual content, and any sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Violence or dangerous content: graphic violence or gore, self-harm, terrorism, or instructions for causing harm.
- Illegal activity, including the sale of drugs, weapons or other regulated goods.
- Spam, scams or misleading content: fake trips, deceptive links, advertising you weren't asked for, or attempts to get people's money or personal details.
- Other people's private information, such as addresses, phone numbers or photos of people shared without their consent.
- Content you don't have the right to share, including material that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
Don't misuse the service either: no automated scraping, interfering with the app or its security, getting around a block or ban, or creating accounts to do any of these things.
3. Reporting and blocking
- Report: tap the ⋯ menu on any post or profile and choose Report. Reports are confidential, and the person you report isn't told who reported them.
- Block: choose Block from the same menu. You'll stop seeing that person's posts and profile, they're removed from your followers and following, and they can't follow you or invite you to trips. They aren't notified. You can unblock people in Settings → Blocked accounts.
- You can also contact us through Settings → Feedback in the app, or by email at momentod.support@gmail.com.
4. How we handle reports
We review reports and act on them promptly, usually within 24 hours. If content breaks these Terms, we remove it and take action against the account that posted it, up to and including a permanent ban.
- A post that several people report may be hidden from public view automatically while we review it.
- We may remove any content or suspend any account that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms or puts people at risk, whether or not it was reported.
- If you think we made a mistake about your content or account, tell us through Settings → Feedback.
5. Your content
- You keep ownership of the trips and photos you post.
- When you post a trip publicly or share its link, you give Momento'd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and reproduce it so we can run the service. That includes showing it to other users, who can view and copy a trip's itinerary into their own plans. The license ends when you delete the content, except for copies we must keep for legal or safety reasons, such as a reported post kept as evidence.
- You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the rights to share it.
- Photos may be checked automatically for unsafe content before they're accepted.
6. Ending your access
You can stop using Momento'd and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect other users or the service.
7. Third-party services
Momento'd uses third-party services such as maps and place search. Their information, like opening hours or addresses, may be wrong or out of date. Check important details before you travel. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Momento'd is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will always be available or error-free, and we're not responsible for content posted by users or for your travel plans. To the fullest extent the law allows, Alan Zhang isn't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app and may ask you to accept the new version before you keep using Momento'd. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
